How these dates were chosen
Each day is scored on what is the same for every couple: whether Venus is retrograde, whether the Moon is growing, whether it is void of course, and the aspects the Moon and Venus make that day to Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and the Sun. Fridays and Thursdays, the days of Venus and Jupiter, count a little extra. The weights are the ones this site uses for a personal wedding reading, so this list cannot favour a kind of day the personal ranking would mark down.
What it cannot see is you. In a personal reading the larger part of the score comes from where that day’s planets fall against your own birth chart, and that can move a date a long way in either direction. Treat these as a shortlist, not an answer.

- Is there a Venus retrograde in 2028?
- Yes: from 10 May 2028 to 22 June 2028. Traditional astrology avoids weddings in those weeks without exception, and none of them appear in the lists above.
- Are these dates right for us?
- They are the dates the sky favours for everyone. How a date falls against your own birth chart is the larger part of a personal reading, and it can turn a generally good day into a poor one for you, or the reverse. Checking any single date against your chart is free.
- Why do some months have weak Saturdays?
- Because the Moon decides most of it, and the Moon does not keep to weekends. Its phase and the void-of-course stretches before it changes sign move through the week month by month. Where no Saturday clears the bar, the page says so rather than listing a weak one.
- Why is Mercury retrograde not ruled out?
- For a wedding it is a real but lighter weight — the tradition’s objection is to contracts and wording, not to marriage. It counts against a day here, so few retrograde dates make the lists, but it is not a veto the way Venus retrograde is.
