An interview is a conversation in which you have to be understood. Not admired, not liked — understood, by someone deciding whether you can do a job. So the reading leans on the planet traditionally tied to speech, documents and being clearly heard, and on the point in your chart that stands for your public standing and career.
That is why two charts asked about the same Tuesday get different answers. The planets are in one place that day for everybody; what differs is where they fall against your chart, and whether they touch the parts of it that carry how you come across.
The best hour, not just the best day
Every candidate day is scored at six local hours between 09:00 and 19:00, and the best one is reported with it. The difference across a single day is often larger than the difference between two days, which makes it the most practical thing here: when an employer offers you a slot, you usually have more freedom over the time than the date.
The hours come from the unequal planetary hours of tradition, measured from local sunrise rather than from the clock, which is why they shift through the year and why the place matters.
It will tell you not to go
A tool like this is worthless if it flatters you. When the whole month ahead is poor, you are told that outright instead of being handed the least-bad day dressed as a good one. When a day carries a specific warning, the warning is named.
That is also the honest limit of it: the reading is about timing, and timing is the part you can choose. It is not a substitute for preparing, for researching the company, or for asking better questions than the other candidates.

Favours clear speech, visible competence and a receptive audience. Mercury and the Sun lead; Mercury retrograde is heavily penalised.

What it warns you about
Mercury retrograde
The classic warning for anything that depends on being understood — misread emails, crossed wires, the point not landing. Penalised more heavily here than for any occasion except signing a contract.
A void-of-course Moon
The Moon has finished its last aspect before changing sign. Traditionally barren for starting anything: effort goes in, nothing comes of it.
Hard contacts to your Midheaven
The angle standing for career and public standing. A tense transit there is exactly the wrong day to be judged on your professional face.

- No, and nothing here is arranged to suggest it does. It ranks days by astrological convention and shows you the reasoning. Whether you are offered the job depends on you, the other candidates and the employer, none of which is in the sky.
- What if the employer chooses the date for me?
- Then use it on the hours instead. Within a day you are usually offered a choice of slots, and the variation between 09:00 and 17:00 on one day is frequently wider than between two different days.
- Do I need my exact birth time?
- It helps and is not essential. The time fixes your Ascendant and Midheaven, which matter for interviews in particular. Without it, 12:00 is the usual stand-in and the reading still works, with less precision on the angles and the Moon.
- Is checking a day free?
